Anything about reverse-engineeering, i.e. the practice of deducing the design and the specifications of a product, a system or a circuit by analyzing, probing and/or disassembling (destructively or non-destructively) a concrete realization of that product/system/circuit.

For example, you could want to determine the schematic of an old control circuit board for an old machinery, whose blueprints have been lost, in order to repair that board or to replace it with a new design.
