Q&A

Posts tagged inductance

Synonyms: electrical-inductance

Anything about inductance, i.e. the electrical parameter that relates currents and the magnetic flux they generate. Inductance is also a measure of the tendency of a conductor to oppose a change in the current passing through it.

Inductance is the main parameter of an inductor, but it's also a parameter used in other situations like the description of parasitic effects in the practical realization of circuits (e.g. the unavoidable inductance of the traces on a PCB).
