Anything related to fuses.

A fuse is a 2-terminal electrical safety device whose purpose is to interrupt a current that exceed a given threshold to avoid damages due to a current overload or a short circuit in a load. A fuse must be placed in series to one of the supply wires to the load.

Essentially a fuse is a piece of fusible metal wire in a suitable package.

The fusible wire internally connects the terminals of the fuse. As the current increases, the wire heats up due to Joule heating. If the current is high enough, given enough time, the wire reaches its fusion temperature and melts (the fuse "blows"), interrupting the current.

A fuse is a sacrificial device: when it blows it must be replaced with a new one in order to restore the operations of the protected load.
