Anything about photovoltaic panels (a.k.a. solar panels), devices that can be used to convert solar energy directly in electric energy.

Note: the term "solar panels" can also mean "solar thermal panels", which convert solar energy into heat. Here we are interested only in solar photovoltaic panels, though.
