Synonyms: batteries

Anything related to batteries. A battery is a particular type of DC voltage generator whose behavior is based on electrochemical reactions. In other words a battery is an electrochemical device whose purpose is that of storing energy for relatively long periods of time and deliver that energy on-demand as a (approximately) constant voltage to the devices it is connected to.

Batteries come in two broad categories: primary batteries (a.k.a. non-rechargeable batteries) and secondary batteries (a.k.a. rechargeable batteries or also electrical accumulators).
