Subtag of amplifier

Anything about common-collector (CC) amplifier circuits, also known as emitter followers.

A CC-amplifier is a BJT-based amplifier circuit where the output voltage is taken at the emitter, whereas the collector is connected to the power supply. Since the input voltage is applied at the base of the BJT, this makes the collector (which for the signal is grounded through the supply) the common reference for both input and output voltage signals, hence the name.

Q&A Purpose of emitter resistor in a common collector amplifier

I see a lot of common collector amplifiers with the output taken across an emitter resistor. What is the purpose of doing it this way instead of connecting your load directly to the emitter? I sh...
