What are closest free or low-cost alternatives to software like Ansys PCB modelling?

https://www.ansys.com/blog/optimize-your-pcb

It's too costly for study purposes.

To clarify:

I am looking for a program or a software framework (e.g. C/C++) that is free (e.g. GPL/MIT) and can do PCB analysis like analyzing thermal distributions and such.

I can search for such software of course, but I do not understand what industry standards there might be. Like what are the most prominent/used alternatives to Ansys PCB?

Explain what the software does.

Explain in a few sentences what the software you are looking for is supposed to do. "PCB modeling" is too vague. Links rot over time, and go to unknown places. Information required to understand the question must be in the question itself. Links are OK only for supplemental information.
