Assuming we have a voltage regulator :

Why do we have to ground Vin and Vout using 2 capacitors just like that?Co could be to provide a low resistance path to GND at high frequencies but what is the role of Ci?

You've done this a bunch of times now, where you don't put a space after the period or question mark at the end of the sentence. Several times others have fixed it for you. We're not going to keep doing that. It's rude to continue throwing slop at us like that, especially after it has been pointed out.

This time I'm closing the question until you fix it.

Olin Lathrop‭ Also note how you answered his last question, no upvote, no downvote, no comment at all. Is it clear to him now? Is there even any point explaining something to him instead of just giving him a direct answer he can paste in his university homework? Do note that he has indicated several times that these are university questions. Mind you, he does not radiate 'I want to understand' energy, but rather 'Give me a quick and simple answer'. And that can be seen in the posts very clearly.
