Categories

Note that there are three distinct clickable links in the colored banner at the top of the page: Q&A, Papers, and Meta. These are referred to as "categories" by the site software. Each category is a container for pages. The different containers are for posts with different purposes, and also have different mechanics. The details of each category are:

Q&A

This is the "main" part of the site. Anyone can ask a question about electrical engineering (within the allowed topics), and then answers be added as separate posts to the same page.

Papers

This category contains scholarly articles. This is hard to describe in a few words, so there is a separate help file about papers.

Meta

This is where we talk about the site itself. The format of each page is a question followed by answers, just like the Q&A category.
