How about a `basic-circuit-block` tag?
I'm in the process of giving the tags page some structure, writing tag descriptions and creating synonyms and some hierarchy. I'd like to know the Community stance on a new tag I'd like to add: `basic-circuit-block` It should act as a parent for tags that denote all those basic electronic circuit blocks a designer should know about, like a Darlington pair, a differential pair, a diode-connected BJT, a single-BJT switch, a Zener regulator and so on. Note that I don't mean the tag to describe more abstract concepts, like a differential *amplifier* (which could also be built with an opamp), otherwise it could become some kind of kitchen-sink. In other words, the tag should encompass only well-known self-contained circuit blocks, which could be seen more or less as 2-terminal or 3-terminal components on their own (and sometimes are, like the Darlington) and that would be made of only a handful of basic components. What do you think? Any suggestion?
