Speaker receives interference
My Altec Lansing speakers sometimes bleat out a weird sound. It's usually something like "dit. dit-dah-dit. dit-dah-dit."

I suspect it has something to do with radio traffic from my computer or phone's WiFi or cell modem. Supposedly the small desktop speakers that seem to emit the sounds are "shielded" with the bigger bass speaker under the desk "unshielded," but perhaps that doesn't mean what I imagine.

- What is causing the blips?
- Is there something relatively simple I can do to prevent the noise?
   - ...and if not, how do I know whether a replacement system would have the same issue?
