Question Speaker receives interference
My Altec Lansing speakers sometimes bleat out a weird sound. It's usually something like "dit. dit-dah-dit. dit-dah-dit." I suspect it has something to do with radio traffic from my computer or phone's WiFi or cell modem. Supposedly the small desktop speakers that seem to emit the sounds are "shie...

Answer A: Standardized way of measuring AC line frequency
If you're talking oscilloscopes, I used to do peak-to-peak measurements for the time period. And then, as you note, invert for the frequency.
