A: Why did the battery blow out? These 9V batteries don't fail like it in normal use, not even when they are very old. They do this only when they are non-rechargeable but are being recharged. There may be a fault in the bed circuit somewhere that causes the power supply to inadvertently recharge the battery. This would only happ... (more) |

A: Is it possible to build a passive many hosts to a single disk SATA splitter? > is there a technical reason that prohibits such cable from working? Two reasons: 1. Signal integrity 2. Data integrity Signal integrity is reason #1. Basically, cables are not "transparent" to the signals they carry. When the signals are sufficiently fast - as is the case with SATA -... (more) |

A: Which transistor type to use for charge shuttle, as part of an active charging circuit? > I've figure probably not an IGBT since their gate requires too much current, while a BJT would be too wasteful as well, so would that mean a MOSFET or JFET is the best choice? First, let's clarify that we are talking about a discrete solution, i.e. you buy some parts and assemble them in a circu... (more) |
