Subtag of oscillator

Anything about Hartley oscillators, a particular type of linear (sinusoidal) oscillator.

In a Hartley oscillator circuit the frequency is determined by a parallel LC resonant circuit (tank circuit). Since inductors at low frequencies are bulky and expensive, Hartley oscillators are mainly employed for generating RF signals, in which range inductors can be made small and efficient.

Hartley oscillator on Wikipedia.

The inductive element in the tank circuit is either a tapped inductor or a pair of inductors connected in series. In both cases the tap or the junction between the inductors is the point where the feedback signal is taken.
