Diode like a frequency mixer
Based on [this](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frequency_mixer) paper on Wiki a diode can be described as a frequency mixer due to the exponential relationship between current and voltage.What I don't get from which point to which point do we measure the voltage with the different frequency(or whatever)?

So if we connect a oscilloscope to the circuit which points must we connect to the probes in order to see that creation of new frequencies?
