IEPE Sensor Internal Circuit
Based on reading the [All About Circuits article](https://www.allaboutcircuits.com/technical-articles/introduction-to-piezoelectric-accelerometers-with-integral-electronics-piezo-electric-iepe-sensor/) on IEPE sensors there are two general types of circuits integrated into this class of sensors: voltage amplifier and charge amplifier. This question regards a two wire interface in which the power unit supplies a current limited nominal voltage of typically +24V to the sensor, and uses a DC blocking capacitor to extract the signal from the typically 12V bias voltage. How is the sensor amplifier (for charge or voltage amplification) powered from the 2 wire interface and how is the nominal 12V bias circuit created. I’m interested in creating a circuit using a function generator for the signal that models the behavior of an IEPE sensor.
