A: how to figure out the max power of a transformer? You best source of information is boilerplate on the part itself. you have that but all there is is a part number and the design voltage. Your next best information is the boilerplate on the appliance itself, you seem to have lost that. So back to the part boilerplate. "GAL-700E-1S" that... (more) |

A: Need help to replace 555 It's pretty much just a direct substitute for the other 555 chip. Obviously you need to take care not to overload the other parts when you increase the supply voltage. The new part's 5Mhz max means it should be able to go about 5 times faster than the NE555 (which topped out at about 1MHz) >... (more) |

A: What Sine-Wave Oscillator can be controlled with a microcontroller? 10Hz to 10Mhz is a wide frequency range, it would be very hard to cover that whole range in the analogue domain, as you have discovered analogue oscillators that can span more than a factor of about 3 frequency are tricky. so far as I know the best perfoming tunable oscillator is the Vackářoscillator... A: Identification of semiconducting electrical components JEDEC seems to number them according to one less than the number of terminals, thus TRIACs, and thyristors, and darlington transiostors get 2N numbers even though they contain 3 or more junctions. optocouplers come in with numbers like 3N 4N 5N 6N again based on pinout more than internals. Brid... (more) |

A: How do PLCs normally measure 4-20mA current loops? you want a current source start with a linear regulkator like LM340 and use the relays to switch in different load resistors. (more) |

A: Mysterious little cases hanging on street wirings in India CATV distribution is typically half-inch rigid coax, so it's not that. It looks more like a fibre junction box "aerial fibre terminal" in the parlance. (more) |
